Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Chicken
- Cut the chicken breast into two fillets (or pound it evenly for uniform cooking).
- Soak the chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for extra tenderness).
Step 2: Coat and Fry
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat it evenly in the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan (about 350°F/175°C) and fry the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
