Ingredients
2 cups strawberries (fresh or thawed frozen, hulled)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1–2 tbsp sugar or honey (optional, adjust to taste)
1–2 tbsp water (optional, to thin for drizzling or drinks)
Instructions
Add strawberries, lemon juice, and sugar to a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth (about 30 seconds).
2. Adjust the Texture
Add 1–2 tbsp water if needed for a thinner sauce, especially for cocktails or pancake drizzle.
3. Optional: Strain
For a silky-smooth finish, strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds.
4. Store or Serve
Use immediately or store in a jar in the fridge for up to 5 days. Also freezer-friendly!
Notes
- For a cooked version, simmer the ingredients for 8–10 minutes before blending for a richer texture and longer storage.
